“Mick Jagger mourns loss of friend and singer Tina Turner”

“I am so saddened by the passing of my beautiful friend,” she writes Mick Jagger, the 79-year-old singer of The Rolling Stones, on Instagram. Turner toured with The Rolling Stones in the 1960s and appeared on stage at Live Aid in 1985 with Jagger.

“She was a very talented artist and singer,” said Jagger. “She was inspiring, warm, funny and generous. She helped me a lot when I was young and I will never forget her.”
