Mick Jagger marks the end of the lockdown with a new song (video)

Rock legend Mick Jagger celebrated the end of the lockdown in England, surprisingly releasing his new song “Eazy Sleazy”, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

In the song, he examines some of the hardships of isolation during a pandemic. There are verses like “I’m trying to write a song, but I have to hang on to Zoom!” and “So much TV, it ends up being a lobotomy!”.

Jagger wrote the new song a few weeks ago, collaborating with Fu Fighters guitarist Dave Grohl, adding his part in Los Angeles. Jagger performs electric guitar and vocals, and Grohl is on drums, electric guitar and bass.

“This is a song about coming out of the lockdown with the much-needed optimism!”, Commented the 77-year-old Jagger.

The refrain sings: “We will escape from the walls of this prison and find ourselves in the garden of earthly pleasures!”.

The song was produced by Jagger’s longtime music collaborator Matt Clifford, who produced both of the legend’s 2017 songs – “Gotta Get a Grip” and “England Lost”.

Jagger and Grohl have worked together before. In 2012, Grohl and the Foo Fighters warmed up the Rolling Stones when the band performed on Saturday Night Live. A year later, Grohl joined the Rolling Stones on stage in Anaheim, California.

As for the Rolling Stones: The band was supposed to spend 2020 touring, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, they were canceled. However, last April, the band released the song “Living in a Ghost Town”, which was their first song of their own since 2012.
