Michoacán taxi drivers protest against Uber in the capital
This Monday the taxi drivers of Michoacán (Mexico) have made a caravan of protests and blocked the historic center of Morelia, the capital of Michoacán.
The taxi drivers led the caravan at 10:00 am, leaving from the José María Morelos stadium to the Government Palace.
In addition to Uber’s departure, taxi drivers are demanding that any other platform stop providing transportation services as they should be exclusive to licensed taxis.
We deployed a surveillance and mobility device in Morelia, in the presence of a group of taxi drivers in the vicinity of the Morelos Stadium, who will leave in a caravan to the first square of the city. Follow directions! pic.twitter.com/ZpbgZIpvXi
