The long accompanying message explains the choice: “A few days ago Lorenzo and I got married civilly. We did it in ‘articulo mortis’ because every day there is a different physical complication, I go in and out of the hospital and now we no longer take anything for granted”. Murgia a few months ago announced that he had a tumor, stage four renal cell carcinoma, which was no longer curable.

The new bride goes on to explain how marriage arrived because it was the only way to guarantee rights to her queer family: “We did it reluctantly: if we had had another way to guarantee each other’s rights we would never have resorted to a tool so patriarchal and limited, that it forces us to reduce a much richer and stronger experience to the representation of the couple, where the number 2 is the opposite of who we are”. Her husband is Lorenzo Terenzi, actor, director and musician, graduated from the Teatro Stabile in Genoa.
