The awarding of the Michelin stars, the most important culinary event of the year, is being postponed to January.

The organization behind the prestigious Michelin Guide is postponing the publication of the new guide by two months. After all, a restaurant visit by an inspector precedes the award of the Michelin stars and the Bib Gourmand label, but they too had to temporarily cease their activities in the spring due to the corona crisis and the forced closure of the restaurants. ‘As soon as the situation permitted, our inspectors have done everything to be active again in the Benelux as quickly as possible’, emphasizes international director of the Michelin guides Gwendal Poullennec.
The presentation of the guide, which usually takes place in the autumn, will therefore be postponed to Monday 11 January 2021. The presentation will take place in the Théâtre Royal in Mons. If the situation permits, the event will take place both physically and digitally, according to the organization.
