Michel Platini and Sepp Blatter referred to the Swiss justice

The case of the alleged payment of 2 million Swiss francs (1.8 million euros) to Michel Platini by former FIFA president Sepp Blatter is likely to lead, as expected, to a trial of the two men in Switzerland. As reported on October 6 by The world, The Public Ministry of the Swiss Confederation (MPC, Public Ministry) informed the two former leaders last August that it intended to bring an accusation against them. On Tuesday, the prosecution confirmed the charge for various crimes, including fraud. Now it is up to the Bellinzona Federal Criminal Court to validate this accusation and decide on the holding of a trial.
