Michel Houellebecq joins the program of Printemps de Bourges

Michel Houellebecq, accompanied by the DJ and electro producer Traumer, completes the poster of the Spring of Bourges, festival launching the summer season from April 19 to 24, 2022.

The writer, who just released his novel Annihilate , a “Say yes right away, it’s one of the nice surprises, we wanted to meet the literary sphere and the musical sphere”, tells theAFP Boris Vedel, event director.

Another writer and an actress on stage

It’s a return to Spring for the author of Elementary particles, who had already performed there in 2000 with Bertrand Burgalat (reputed artist and producer) and his musicians.

Another writer, Sylvain Prudhomme (Prix Femina 2019), will be associated with the musician Albin de la Simone. And, still in the same spirit, actress Céline Sallette will take the stage alongside DJ and producer Chloé Thévenin.

Surprise again, with Apple, accompanied by Quebecer Safia Nolin, who will reinterpret Celine Dion’s repertoire.

Emerging artists, like Crystal Murray, P.R2B, Fishbach, Mansfield. TYA or even Charlotte Cardin also complete a program unveiled in part on November 24.

Headliners such as Clara Luciani, Juliette Armanet, Eddy de Pretto, Gaëtan Roussel, Dutronc & Dutronc (i.e. Jacques and Thomas for the first time on a joint tour), IAM, Vianney or even Lilly Wood & The Prick, were already known .

A return to the usual format

Le Printemps returns to its usual format in April. The meeting had welcomed 200,000 people for its last real edition in 2019. With the health crisis, there had only been a symbolic stage reserved for emerging talents in 2020 (shifted to September) and a limited gauge edition in June 2021.

“If there must be a key word for the 2022 edition, it is the invitation to rediscover happiness, we will have to relearn how to live, because we notice that people have not yet completely resumed the path performance venues; however, what makes us happy is to share and commune together”, concludes Boris Vedel.

For the rest of the program, we find, as a reminder, the rappers Romeo Elvis, Lujipeka (escaped solo from Columbine) or the Belgians Caballero VS Jeanjass.

For electro, we can note the presence of Thylacine, a young shoot with a wide palette and Vitalic, a pioneer, or even Kungs and Polo & Pan, French artists with a large international audience.

Added to all these names already revealed, Malik Djoudi (electropop), Rover (pop) or Olivia Ruiz (song).
