Former President Michel Aoun made the following statement:
“I was informed of what the Prime Minister of the Provisional Government, Najib Mikati, said today in the House of Representatives about the discussions that have taken place between him and me on the question of forming a government.
I confirm that what he said is piecemeal and lacking a lot of accuracy and correctness, and I remember what I announced to the media after our last meeting when he came to greet me six days before the end of my mandate, which I told him to wait until you go back to Baabda to issue the formation decree together, according to the rules, but he went and did not prepare ”.
