The penultimate stop of “Lata z Radiem i Telewizją Polska” came to Tarnów. The stage featured, among others, Urszula, Lady Pank and Michał Szpak. The latter attracted the most attention of the audience.

The singer performed two songs, and during the new song “Gaja” he was accompanied by dancers tied with ropes that the artist held in his hand. The choreography imitated the situation in which Szpak holds them on a leash. The network was swarming with comments from outraged people.

The singer decided to explain the controversial performance. In an interview with TVP, he stated that “sometimes you have to break away from the leash.”
“There is much beauty in the constant battle with inner demons. In life and on stage, you have to know when to dominate and when to let go. Sometimes you have to let yourself go, break free from the leash and show the world your inner fire,” says the singer.
Michał Szpak’s choreography was supposedly created just a few days before the concert and was “his own artistic vision”.
