Lech Poznań is the leader of PKO Ekstraklasa after 19 matches and has four points advantage over Pogoń Szczecin. For Kolejorz it is a historic season in which it celebrates the club’s 100th anniversary. It is no wonder that there is a lot of pressure in the capital of Greater Poland to end the year 2022 with the trophy, and preferably with the Polish championship. The current Pogoń Szczecin footballer, and a longtime player of Legia Warszawa – Michał Kucharczyk, have a different opinion on this subject. In a short interview for the portal pogonsportnet.pl, the protégé of Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki calls this special season for Kolejorz “a pseudo century”.
The current season is also unique for Pogoń Szczecin. The club from the West Pomeranian Voivodeship is in the league just behind the current leader of the table and finally has a good chance to win the trophy and put it in its empty display case. The porters hope for it, because they are losing the aforementioned four points to Lech Poznań and they have to play a direct match against Kolejorz at their own stadium. In Szczecin, they are well aware that Lech Poznań will do everything to end the year 2022 with the trophy won. Michał Kucharczyk has a different plan for this.
– If we are going to talk about the championship, let’s tone everything up for now. Let’s not put extra pressure on ourselves because we are four points behind Lech. The team from Poznań really wants to be honored the club’s pseudo centenary
