Poland should introduce customs duties on goods from Ukraine – said Michał Kołodziejczak (Agrounia), Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, on Radio Zet. He added that “today EU policy is completely different and this is impossible.”
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture announced that he will postulate that the list of products that will not enter Poland from Ukraine be expanded, e.g. to include apple concentrate, soft fruits, apples, eggs, poultry, sugar, vegetables, and fruit. Michał Kołodziejczak said that few people realize that it is really about the potential opportunities of companies. – Companies that trade products often use the argument that if Poles do not sell goods below cost, they will import them from Ukraine. Therefore, potential imports need to be severely limited, explains the leader of Agrounia and KO MP. Kołodziejczak assured that he is still on the same side – normal agriculture and food production in Poland. He is also not afraid of being “exported from the Ministry of Agriculture.”
