Michal David has tried to play without the audience several times, but always only at rehearsals. He will try it hard on Saturday. “It’s going to be a big show, but without the audience. We’re not used to it, so we’ll see how we deal with it,” says the singer.
When the audience learned the price of 690 crowns for a ticket to the upcoming online concert, they asked if Michal David needed it. “Well, I need it because the money isn’t for me. It’s for the guys in the band, who just have to make the money,” David explains.
Sharp criticism of fans for the ticket price for the upcoming concert spoiled his joy of preparations a little. At the beginning of the pandemic, Michal David appeared several times in front of seniors, without the right to a fee.
Michal reacted to the spray of negative comments by saying that the fans of the last online concert blamed him for the quality of the music and transmission. That’s why he decided for this paid form, when, as he says, he pays for the equipment, the rental of the premises and all the people around him. He doesn’t earn anything himself, and if there is anything left, he is going to donate it to charity.
Michal David spends most of the winter in his apartment in Tenerife with his grandson, whom he helps with online tuition. Among other things, he also did a lot of work on the house. “I’m a do-it-yourselfer. My acquaintances say I’m such an hour-old husband. If I wasn’t a musician, I’d probably be a craftsman, because I quite enjoy it,” the singer confides.
