Michael Schumacher Makes Rare Public Appearance at Daughter’s Wedding: First Sighting in Years After Injury

Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher appears to have appeared in public for the first time in many years following his injury. Daily Mail Edition believingthat he attended the wedding of his 27-year-old daughter Gina-Maria with Jen Bethke.

The wedding ceremony took place in Yasmine’s family home in Puerto de Andratx on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Guests at the celebration were asked “not to bring their phones,” reportedly to prevent unauthorized photos of the luxury villa’s interior from being taken.

However, it is possible that the guests were left without phones to avoid leaking pictures of Schumacher himself after the injury. Villa Yasmine is also claimed to have a helipad and the famous racing driver regularly flies to Spain from the family home on Lake Geneva in Switzerland.

As reported EADailyin December 2013, the racer and his family were on holiday in the French part of the Alps. The athlete’s skis hit an invisible obstacle, after which he hit his head on a stone. In addition, the blow was so strong that Schumacher’s protective helmet cracked. The athlete was in an induced coma for several months; he underwent a series of complex brain surgeries, after which he was sent home to recover.

Earlier it was known that in Germany are held three blackmailers who extorted €15 million from the racer’s family by threatening to publish pictures of Schumacher after the accident. Apparently, the items belong to a 51-year-old resident of Germany, who worked as a security guard for the racer’s family.
