Michael K. Williams, who received massive recognition for his role as “Omar Little” in the TV series “The Wire” is dead, reports New York Post.
He turned 54 years old. The actor was found dead by his nephew, the police inform the newspaper. The cause of death is not yet known.
The death is confirmed by the police in New York opposite The Wrap and Variety.

It was recently announced that Williams had been given the role of boxing star George Forman’s mentor and coach. The actor was nominated five times for an Emmy Award, including for the HBO series “Lovecraft Country”.

Williams’ scar over his face was among what was startling about him. On his 25th birthday, he was attacked by a stranger.
