“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible person,” his three sons said in a statement posted on Instagram.

Tito was the third of Jackson’s nine children, who, in addition to the most famous Michael Jackson, also include singers Janet Jackson and La Toya. The Jackson 5 consisted of just five brothers, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael, and their songs are still popular.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, the band had several chart-topping hits in the 1970s including ABC, I Want You Back and I’ll Be There.
Born on October 15, 1953, Toriano Adaryll “Tito” Jackson sang backing vocals and played guitar in the Jackson 5, billed as the group’s least prominent member.
His other brothers later started solo careers, including Michael, who became one of the world’s most famous pop performers, nicknamed the King of Pop. Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009 at the age of 50.
