Michael Jackson: Son Blanket speaks publicly for the first time

Michael Jackson’s youngest son Blanket Jackson, here on a photo from October 8, 2011 with brother Prince (left) and sister Paris (right), is now surprising with his first TV appearance.

Twelve years it was quiet around him – now he is showing himself in public again for the first time: Michael Jackson’s youngest son Blanket provides exclusive insights.

Calabasas. Rare sight! Michael Jackson’s youngest son Blanket Jackson (19) appears in public for the first time in twelve years and speaks about his late father.

Usually, Blanket Jackson steers clear of the limelight. But now the 19-year-old has shown himself to be more open than ever before. For the British show “Good Morning Britain”, the youngest Jackson son gave a reporter exclusive insights into the Jackson family estate “Hayvenhurst” in Calabasas, California.

Michael Jackson’s youngest son speaks openly about his father

Fans should be surprised, because the little boy with the mostly defiant face and long hair has now become a young, grown man.

The young Jackson now wears his long hair shoulder length – a beard adorns his face. In the interview, the 19-year-old presented himself in casual sports shorts, high tennis socks, sneakers and a loose T-shirt.

After Michael Jackson’s death: children grew up with grandmother

After the death of his famous father Michael Jackson († 50) in 2009, Blanket moved with his older siblings Paris (23) and Prince (24) to live with his grandmother Katherine Jackson (91), who took care of the three young children and raised. Blanket was just seven years old at the time. In 2015 he changed his first name – and has been known as “Bigi” ever since.

In an interview with the British television station, the 19-year-old reveals: “This house and this music studio are so full of history. That’s what it was all about. ”According to Blanket, he and his siblings want to pursue what their father set an example for them.

“That’s what each of us wants to do: create things that people can enjoy and that will hopefully make their lives a little better,” the youngest Jackson son continued.

For a while, the youngest Jackson offspring didn’t seem to be doing well at all. After the sexual allegations against his father (in the documentary “Leaving Neverland”) in 2009, the then 17-year-old Blanket said nothing more. His family is believed to have even taken the teenager out of school and completely isolated him from the public.

Today Blanket seems to be doing better again. The young adult deals intensively with the topic of environmental protection and is involved in social projects. On the occasion of the world climate summit in Glasgow, the 19-year-old emphasized: “It is important that we all know about it. We still have a lot to do, but our generation knows how important that is. “(Lg)
