Fox told CBS that despite his health problems, he does his best to stay cheerful. “The positivity is very genuine. I really feel it, so it is real,” said Michael J. “But it is difficult to be positive sometimes, I have to say that.” The actor is very grateful that his wife was there for him all this time. “We knew the bus was coming and that it was going to hit us, but we didn’t know how far away it was or how fast it was going. I would have forgiven my wife at any point if she had said, “I’ll just get out.” But she didn’t do that,” he says.
According to Michael J. Fox, there are “ways to give yourself a break.” “You can give yourself credit for getting through life, with all that comes with it. And to do that, sometimes you have to stop and say, ‘It’s not that bad, it’s really not that bad.’” Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 1991, but it wasn’t until seven years later that he publicly known.
