The famous actor Michael J. Fox would consider returning to acting under certain conditions. This news comes in the midst of promoting a charity event organized by the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Despite retiring in 2020 due to his battle with Parkinson’s disease, Fox has expressed a willingness to consider a return to the big screen.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Michael revealed:

“If someone offers me a role and I do it and have a good time, great. I would do interpretation if something arose in which I could put my realities, my challenges, if I could solve it.”

He continued: “My goals are constantly changing. My biggest goal, I think, was to start a family. We have four incredible children, and that has been the most important thing.”

“And then the other is with the work we have done with the foundation and wanting to achieve those objectives,” he continued.

Since he was detected with Parkinson’s at age 29 in 1991, he has faced physical and emotional challenges associated with the disease. According to many fans his return to acting would be a significant milestone in his career and a testament to his unbreakable spirit.

Decision to retire

In a previous interview with Empire magazine in 2023, Fox explained the reasons that led him to make the decision to retire from acting.

He made reference to his participation in the series “The Good Fight” in 2020, where he struggled to remember his lines and compared this experience to a scene from the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio:

“I thought about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. There is a scene in which Leonardo DiCaprio’s character no longer remembers his dialogue. He goes back to his dressing room and yells at himself in the mirror. It’s crazy. I had that moment where he looked in the mirror and thought, ‘I can’t remember him anymore.’”

The actor mentioned that he had a talk with himself and in the end concluded with: “Well, let’s move on.”
