Michael J. Fox quits acting (again)

Michael J. Fox, who is best known to us for the Back to the futuremovies, retires from acting due to health problems, reports People Magazine. The 59-year-old American has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for years.

In 1991, at the age of 29, Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. As the symptoms worsened, he announced his retirement as an actor in 2000. Afterwards he took up the thread again, mainly with voice-overs and small guest parts, but now he is announcing his retirement again.

New health problems are the basis, he says in his new book No time like the future. For example, he would have had to go under the knife in 2018 to have a tumor removed from his spine. “The last straw, however, is the burgeoning decline in my ability to learn words and repeat them. There is a time for everything, and the time to spend a twelve-hour workday and memorize seven pages of dialogue is behind me. At least for now. ”

Fox achieved his greatest fame with the Back to the futuremovies, and is also known for comedy series such as Spin city.
