FilmIn the biographical film ‘Michael’ the king of pop comes back to life. Lionsgate just shared the first image from the film, and the actor in question is an exact double of the singing legend.
It is important to mention that the studio ‘cheated’ a bit when looking for a suitable actor. They started looking for it within Michael’s family. Ultimately they chose Jaafar Jackson (27), the son of Jermaine Jackson – and therefore Michael’s nephew.
Filming has been going on since January 22, so we finally get to see the first image of Jaafar as Michael. “The resemblance is striking,” says the astonished response on social media. “They really look alike.”
“It’s uncanny how much Jaafar looks like Michael,” director Antoine Fuqua previously told Entertainment Weekly. “He sounds like him and dances like him.”
The studio behind the film promises to ‘highlight all aspects of Jackson’s life’: “From his human side and personal struggles, to his undeniable creative genius. It will be an honest portrait,” said Lionsgate.
The film is expected to hit theaters in April 2025.
