Santo Domingo.– Outfielder Michael Beltré is making the most of every opportunity offered to him at Leones del Escogido.
“I am very grateful to God and the Chosen One with the opportunity that they are giving me in the tournament, I confess that I am taking advantage of it as much as I can, since this is one of the strongest leagues in the Caribbean,” said Beltré, who had a commendable participation with the Somerset Patriots, a subsidiary of the New York Yankees in double A.
“I am working a lot with the hitting instructor, as I am focused on improving some things to try to contribute as much as possible to my team,” said the 26-year-old.
Albert Pujols
Beltré revealed that it has been a blessing to play alongside a future Hall of Famer like Albert Pujols.
“I think everyone in the team is learning from Pujols, he is a very disciplined man who has great respect for the game.
Every advice and suggestion is well received from me, ”said Michael, who was acquired by the Lions in 2020, after being released by the Águilas Cibaeñas.
