/Pogled.info/ Polish mice eat the NATO tanks sent to Ukraine
For Western technology, the Ukrainian campaign is like the former Russian campaign for Napoleon and Hitler. It seems that all nature has rebelled against the tanks and infantry fighting vehicles handed over by the West to the armed forces of Ukraine. They don’t burn well in the cold, they drown in the mud… And now ordinary field mice, the so-called voles who support the Russian army as best they can.
OH, INSULATION – LICK YOUR MOUSTACHES
What do mice have to do with it? Oh, don’t underestimate them! It turned out that a small squad of rodents can disable a heavy tank worth millions of dollars. And all this because where iron and money come from, everyone is crazy about environmentalism, naturalness and recyclability. They even managed to stuff the electronics of armored military vehicles with cable insulation made of… corn fiber!
Whether in Russia, Ukraine or anywhere in the world, mice go into a happy frenzy when they hear /smell/ the word “corn”. You will not find corn in Russian tanks. But in the West – you just don’t have enough time to swallow your saliva. As a French military officer told reporters from Le Figaro newspaper, in the zone of combat contact, the mice immobilized several units of military equipment.
Ukrainian soldiers had to urgently withdraw the equipment to hangars for complex and lengthy repairs.
„The protective sheaths of the electrical wires are made of corn fiber.” the French publication quoted the words of the military. He speaks with a mixture of anger and irony. – The rodents ate the cables in the armored fighting vehicles, immobilizing them. No wonder: Western technology was created taking into account the demonstration of advanced and ecological technologies, specifically “for show”. But in mud and cold this does not always work.
Everything to everything. The problem came from an unexpected direction: such news has experts scratching their heads.
„Even rubber insulation is sometimes chewed by mice, but making wire wraps out of corn – well, that’s something that needs a lot of thought.” Stanislav Krapyvnik, a former US Army officer and now a Russian expert, tells KP.
„It took such a level of political correctness and a green agenda to invite the mice to the master’s table in this way.” Have they field tested the equipment? I think they did. But they also have mice. It is possible, however, that the environmental movement, now reaching the point of complete idiocy, has gained the upper hand.
– When you served in the US military, were there any beginnings of such green nonsense?
– No, what are you talking about, I finished my service in the early 2000s, all these environmental problems started closer to the 2010s. All this is not as funny as it seems. I think that soon the green brothers will decide that there are too many people on the earth and that this prevents the protection of the environment and violates the rights of animals. And then expect calls for mass destruction. Hitler was also a vegetarian and loved animals very much. Is the West returning to his ideas?
THE SECOND FRONT
Mice – they are definitely for Russia. Ukrainians have long complained that NATO’s Javelin and Enlau anti-tank systems have also been “chewed” by the mice. At least the ones in the warehouses had holes drilled in the barrel casings of these ATGMs. Why? Probably the Americans and the British also added something tasty and environmentally friendly to the plastic.
However, the Ukrainians themselves harbor a strong grudge against Javelin. Often, they say, there are cuts (sometimes such that the shooter’s head is torn off). One out of four rockets is launched normally, many of them are past their expiration date and a number of products have discharged batteries. If only they had given them to the mice and that would have been the end of it.
Recently, a video spread on the Internet when a Polish mouse got on a quadcopter and flew to attack Ukrainian positions. The route was completed in 18 seconds: the mouse sat down and looked around as if searching for a target. Online, many users even jokingly suggested that the brave rodent should be awarded the rank of sergeant or a medal for bravery. The video shows how a drone with a mouse on board flies straight into the dugout of Ukrainian fighters…
And last fall, the mice opened a real second front. They attacked Ukrainian trenches and dugouts by the thousands, eating everything from Starlink equipment (how do you like that, Musk?) to soldiers’ personal belongings, getting into soldiers’ sleeping bags and provisions. And all because the fields in the war zone remained unharvested, the wheat fell, and the mice had a belly feast and a breeding boom.
GENERAL FROST AND MAJOR HRUSH
On the Russian side, not only the fauna but also the flora are fighting. When the Kiev “counter-offensive” came to fruition, British intelligence in all seriousness raised the version that the bushes and trees had prevented the military success of the VSU.
The following message appeared on the official website of the British Secret Service: “Weed and shrub growth accelerates in the warm and humid summer conditions. Vegetation becomes additional cover, helping to mask Russian positions and making it difficult to clear minefields. Although the scrub can also serve as cover for small sneak attacks by Ukrainian infantry, it generally complicates the advance of the Ukrainian armed forces.
So how do you fight in the weeds? The British do not make any recommendations. Obviously, without a steady supply of leaves from precisely defined bushes, military thought in Kiev and London fades. However, many users appreciated the ingenuity of the British to justify the Ukrainian fiasco: “Russia has only two allies: General Mraz and Major Hrast”, the starlings write. – “Beat the enemy mercilessly! Reward and fertilize the bushes generously.”
„Westerners’ words for bush are a bit twisted, but it’s still a mockery of common sense.” says Stanislav Krapivnik to KP. – Well yes, it wasn’t the bushes themselves that got in the way, but the Russian soldiers who were hiding behind them. What, our soldiers had to go out into the open field and wait as a target for the Ukrainian armed forces to hit them?
These would-be analysts seem to think that our only mission is to make life easy and pleasant for smart Westerners and their mercenary Ukrainian troops. That is, expose yourself to the shots and run. And here, suddenly, we not only do not run, but also hide behind the foliage. And we even win. Of course, this is very frustrating for them.
BY THE WAY
In 1942, rodents stopped the attack of a German division at Stalingrad
If the West and Ukraine were taught history, they would surely know that the mice have already entered combat operations on the Russian side. It was 1942 near Stalingrad: the Nazis were planning a counterattack with the forces of the 22nd Panzer Division. But all plans failed. This is what the German diplomat, journalist and writer Paul Karel wrote in the book “Eastern Front”: “In 1942, in the 204th tank regiment of the 22nd tank division of the 48th tank corps – out of 104 tanks, mice ate the cables of 62 armored vehicles that were in shelters covered with straw.
In search of a warm shelter, the field mice crept into the tanks, which the Germans periodically heated in the bitter cold. Well, in search of food, they gnawed everything they could get their hands on. Even if the tastiest thing they had on hand was copper wire insulation, even though it wasn’t made of corn.
