Miccoli: three and a half years in prison for extortion using the mafia method

The Federal Supreme Court of Italy denied the appeal presented by Fabrizio Miccoli, who was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for extortion using the mafia method.

The former Benfica player had known the sentence in January 2020, but appealed the decision. Now, see this feature being denied.

According to the transalpine press, Miccoli asked Italian mafia contacts to help him recover a credit of 12,000 euros through violent practices normally associated with the mafia.

Fabrizio Miccoli, remember, played for Benfica from 2005 to 2006. He played 56 games and scored 19 goals. He ended his career in 2016, working for Birkirkara, from Malta.
