Miami in sixth against Atlanta

Foot to the floor, the Heat continued their march forward at the expense of the Hawks, who left with a short setback from Florida and who will still have to whip in the last game to avoid 10th place in the play-in.

After a balanced start to the match, Tyler Herro made a remarkable entrance by distributing four assists including an alley-oop for Bam Adebayo and two caviars for Gabe Vincent at 3-points (24-22). The back then distinguished himself in scoring, but Bogdan Bogdanovic answered him with 9 points in a row before passing the baton to a fiery Trae Young, author of 17 points in the second quarter which he concluded with a 3-pointer from downtown to give the Hawks a five-point lead at the break (56-61).

The Huerter-Gallinari-Capela trio kept Atlanta in the lead until two 3-point missiles from Kyle Lowry and Max Strus, followed by five points from Caleb Martin, restored the advantage to the Heat (83 -79). Tyler Herro put on his super passer costume to keep his own in the lead 12 minutes from time (91-87).

Bogdan Bogdanovic’s two 3-point baskets revived the Hawks, who then went back to +6 on a buzzer basket from Onyeka Okongwu’s possession (93-99). What to wake up the Heat which finished strong, between the 3-pointers of Duncan Robinson, that of Tyler Herro and the show Lowry who offered himself a fadeaway and the action of the match by blowing up Bogdan Bogdanovic to better serve Bam Adebayo to dunk (111-109).

The last chance for the Hawks came back in the hands of Danilo Gallinari whose 3-point shot did not find the target, allowing Tyler Herro to secure the victory at the throw in stride (113-109).

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

– Everything for the win. The Floridians had paid for their lack of freshness last season after a long epic in the “bubble” of Orlando. However, even guaranteed to finish in first place in the Eastern Conference this season, Erik Spoelstra’s troops are banking on the strength of the dynamic and have done everything to score a sixth consecutive victory this night, with a Lowry-Herro quartet -Butler-Adebayo supported by the Strus-Martin doublet in the “money-time” to finish the job. The future will tell if this choice will pay off in the final stages. Last night, there was no breakage among the starters, but Dewayne Dedmon still injured his right ankle.

– A night without 3-pointers. Bogdan Bogdanovic barely hides the misery. For the rest, the Hawks have watered too much behind the arc to hope to come back from Florida with the victory, finishing at 8/34 (23.5% of success) where the Heat finished at 42.3% of address. As a symbol at the very end of the match, Tyler Herro’s 3-pointer first bounced off the circle before returning, while Danilo Gallinari’s almost ended up in the air-ball…

TOPS/FLOPS

Tyler Herro. A boss match. The player who launched his own by making his teammates shine at the start of the game. He was also invaluable at the end with a 3-pointer, and it was also he who sealed the fate of the meeting with two shots.

Kyle Lowry. A real plague, which engulfed itself in all the breaches and exploited all the errors of Atlanta this night. He too stood out late in the game, as Atlanta raced in the lead.

Bogdan Bogdanovic. A match close to perfection for the Serb who revived his team twice, in the second quarter and at the start of the fourth. In addition, the second creator of the team did not lose any ball where Trae Young misplaced 7. However, he misses two important shots in the final, and bites Kyle Lowry’s feint at the worst moment.
