The British intelligence agency or widely known as MI6 is opening job vacancies as intelligence officers, aka secret agents. MI6 itself is an intelligence agency that is the background for the famous secret agent film, James Bond.
“We are MI6, also known as SIS (Secret Intelligence Service). Our mission is to protect the security and economic prosperity of the UK from foreign threats such as regional instability, terrorism and cyber attacks,” wrote the job vacancy on the official MI6 website.
“As an Intelligence Officer (IO), you will play a vital role in our mission. Our organization collects classified intelligence to protect the UK and its interests overseas. This is an exciting and varied role where you will use your everyday skills, including communication, influencing people, and empathy, to overcome extraordinary challenges,” the announcement added.
However, this job vacancy is only open to those with British citizenship. In addition this vacancy is also open for placement in London for the first three years and thereafter the location will vary depending on the role and career journey (opportunities overseas available).

This means that the person concerned can receive a basic salary of IDR 59.99 million to IDR 75.71 million per month. This salary does not include other allowances, such as allowances for required language skills.
“If you have 3 years or more professional experience, you are entitled to a starting salary of £43,172,” MI6 wrote on its website.
“If you are qualified or proficient in Mandarin, Russian, Persian or Arabic, you may be eligible for a language allowance. Other languages may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on operational requirements,” they explained again.
Apart from salary, MI6 also offers other benefits such as:
