Friday evening, the MHSC-VB was taken out of the Ligue A playoffs by its pet peeve this season: Tours. On this 3rd match of the series, Montpellier lost 3 sets to 1 and could feed some regrets, especially in the second set where it got 2 balls to lead two sets to nothing. A lack of realism which costs Olivier Lecat’s men dearly, who will then lose the following 2 sets and therefore win these quarter-finals. It now remains for the Héraultais to finish a season so far in halftone. Montpellier has yet to play a ranking tournament for 5th place synonymous with next year’s European Cup.
