The Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) reveals the reasons for the first day of the test MotoGP Mandalika 2022 at the Mandalika Circuit, muddy on Friday (11/2).
The first day of the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit was stopped for more than an hour because the track was not clean. Lots of mud on the race track, along with other debris.
Dorna then lit a red flag or red flag. The track is then cleaned. At that time, the 2022 MotoGP contestants who underwent tests shared the condition of their drivers who were hit by mud.
“We are looking for the problem with this mud. Only if there is no mud on the track [Jumat, 11/2] In the morning, we really do have quite a number of marshal posts, left and right of the track,” said Priandhi.
“We took the marshal with several buses through the middle of the track. Maybe one of the buses was carrying mud. Starting tomorrow [hari ini] marshal distribution on the outside of the track,” he said.
Priandi confirmed that from the inspection carried out on Friday (11/2), there were no problems with drainage. The mud that had disturbed the racers did not come from poor drainage on the track.
“The mud is not from the drainage. Maybe from the bus that brought the marshal. The fact is it’s not just mud, there are tire debris, etc. Hopefully tomorrow [hari ini] there are no more obstacles,” said Priandhi.
Regarding the evaluation obtained from the first day, Priandhi could not explain. Because the MGPA is still seeking input from the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test contestants at the Mandalika Circuit.
“If the evaluation has not been done, I haven’t met with them to get advice, what needs to be improved before Saturday’s race, and the 2022 MotoGP in March,” said Priandhi.
“What I see is that all drivers go in and out of the track, change tire settings, engine settings, meaning that I think each driver enjoys the track to get the best,” he said.
