VERSATILE ELECTRIC – The MG5 Electric it is 460 cm long, 181 wide and 154 high. The load capacity is 479 liters, which reaches 1,367 liters by folding down the rear seats which have the 60/40 configuration. The towing capacity is 500 kg, the vertical load capacity, usable for rear-mounted bicycle racks, is 50 kg and the roof load capacity is 75 kg (usable for luggage boxes).
TWO BATTERY CUTS – The wagon station MG5 Electric is offered in version Standard Range, which will be available later, with a 50.3 kWh battery and 320 km of declared autonomy. The electric motor produces 177 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The variant Long Range, with a 61.1 kWh battery, has a range of 400 km and an output of 156 hp and 280 Nm of torque. Both reach a maximum speed of 185 km / h, and can be recharged in alternating current up to 11 kW, or, alternatively, up to 87 kW in direct current.
THE EQUIPMENT – The MG5 Electric it is offered in four body colors (Dover White, Pebble Black, Diamond Red and Medal Silver) and two trim levels: Comfort and Luxury. There Comfort offers a rather complete equipment that includes air conditioning with PM2.5 air filter, led headlights and rear lights, heated front seats, parking aid system, 7 “digital dashboard, multifunction steering wheel covered in leather, alloy wheels 16 “, keyless entry and iSmart Lite multimedia system visible on a 10.25” screen. Also standard are several Adas such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and active lane keeping. The set-up Luxury adds the 360-degree parking camera, anti-glare interior mirror, electrically adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, eco-leather upholstery and 17 “alloy wheels.
PRICES – The introductory price for the MG5 Electric Standard Range is 31.050 euro in the Comfort version with a discount of 2,400 euros compared to the list price of 33,490 euros. The introductory price for the Luxury set-up always in the Standard Range version is 34,990 euros. For the Long Range, on the other hand, a price of 37,990 euros is foreseen for the Comfort set-up and 39,490 euros for the Luxury.
POWERING EXTERNAL DEVICES – Like the MG ZS EV and the MG Marvel R Electric, the MG5 Electric it is equipped as standard with the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system, which allows the car battery to supply energy to an external electrical system. It has a maximum output power of 2,200W and is useful in situations where there is no outlet available; connecting the plug is to power different devices, ranging from the air pump, a cooler compartment, up to an e-bike.
