MG Introduces New Electric Vehicle Sub-Brand IM at Geneva Motor Show

The British brand MG, which belongs to the Chinese concern SAIC and is also active in the European market, has created a new sub-brand IM for the production of electric vehicles.

IM stands for Intelligent Mobility and, according to the brand’s statement, it will offer Premium segment models with new technological perspectives combined with an extraordinary driving experience.

Europeans will notice the first appearance of the new brand very soon – at the Geneva Motor Show (from 26.02), where MG, along with the completely new MG3 – a small car with a hybrid drive, will also demonstrate the first model of IM – the mid-class sedan L6, which will enter the European market already next year.

The IM L6 is said to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just under three seconds and, depending on the version, will be equipped with a lithium-ion or solid-state battery, giving it a range of more than 600 to 800 kilometers.
