MFG Linz welcomes a fresh beginning

78

It was a turbulent first year and a half for the autumn of 2021 in Upper Austria. MFG movement drafted into state parliament. The surprisingly large electoral success and the rapid growth brought with it a number of personnel challenges. After a reorganization at the federal level, a new start followed in Linz with the new number 1 Petra Lindner.

The 48-year-old Urfahranerin Petra Lindner felt like some others two years ago: She felt powerless when many cuts in freedom happened around the Corona pandemic. Contact was quickly established with MFG, which was then in the process of being founded, and since then Lindner has been a member from the very beginning.

Build stable structures
Due to the arbitrary resignation of the two mandataries (the side is completely inactive and also does not submit any applications), MFG cannot currently be actively involved in the Linz municipal council. But that is of secondary importance, according to Lindner: “You can see that almost all the motions, no matter how good, from the small parliamentary groups of the SPÖ, ÖVP and FPÖ are not supported. Real democracy works differently,” says Lindner. It is now all the more important to build stable structures over the next five years in order to move into the Linz municipal council with a committed new team in the 2027 election: “The Corona measures, but also many other developments, are in people’s heads things have started to move.”

“There are also many beneficiaries of the Corona measures in Linz”
Petra Lindner believes that there is more to do for MFG than ever: for example, the critical examination of the Crisis Security Act as the “next attack on our freedom or “the self-made current crisis including the Russia sanctions.” Support comes from MFG federal party chairman Joachim Aigner: “Many are not aware that if the war-torn country Ukraine joins, the alliance will occur and that Austria will also be at war with Russia.”

“There are also many beneficiaries of the Corona measures in Linz and Upper Austria who have taken advantage of the pandemic.”

The tipping of the health system and of course the processing of the corona pandemic are also demands from MFG. Petra Lindner: “There are also many beneficiaries of the Corona measures in Linz and Upper Austria who have taken advantage of the pandemic.”

Linz needs more direct democracy”
Petra Lindner says about the cooperation with the MFG state team, which, as is well known, has recently also been at the top at national level: “The last few months have welded us all together even more, there is something big going on around the top duo Joachim Aigner and Dagmar Häusler emerge,” says Lindner. Linz also needs more direct democracy and the right to have a say for the citizens. Lindner is also critical of the uninhibited immigration to Linz: “It will be a real problem, especially for our next generation.”
