/ world today news/ The UN Human Rights Council’s Independent Expert Team on Promoting Racial Justice and Equality in Law Enforcement visited the US and called for increased accountability for activities related to racism and racial discrimination, as well as for taking measures to solving economic and social problems of the African American population.
In this regard, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that incidents of racially motivated violence involving police officers in the United States continue to occur continuously, and discrimination against ethnic minorities such as African Americans is increasing.
The use of force in law enforcement and racial discrimination by the American police clearly shows the disregard for the right to life and the deep-seated racism in the country. This makes the US a model for disrespecting and violating human rights, the spokesman added.
