The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour, highlighted, Thursday in Rabat, Morocco’s considerable efforts to attract European and French investments.
Speaking during a meeting with the delegation of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), under the theme “presentation of the contemporary Moroccan industrial platform”, Mr. Mezzour returned to the Kingdom’s efforts to attract these investors by opening its markets and by investing heavily in infrastructure, logistics, and human resources to increase its competitiveness.
“Morocco, which maintains its position of proximity, reliability and stability, is proving to be a winning bet for European and French investors,” noted the minister, stressing that the interconnected value chains between Morocco and France constitute a valuable component for the development of both countries.
In this sense, he explained that competitiveness and decarbonization, which Morocco and France have developed jointly, transcend the simple option to become an absolute necessity.
For his part, the president of the Sustainable City Task Force within the MEDEF, Gérald Wolf, highlighted his organization’s commitment to modern, low-carbon solutions, at the cutting edge of technology, emphasizing the importance of the inclusion of young people and women in these innovations.
For his part, the president of the energy mission within MEDEF and regional director of Engie North Africa, Loic Jaegert-Huber, spoke of the successes of the Morocco-France ecosystems in the automotive and aeronautics.
And to note the establishment of a mission within the framework of the energy transition to support the international development of French companies in the fields of hydrogen and biogas.
Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and MEDEF, this meeting brought together a delegation of more than 30 French companies from various sectors, aiming to consolidate links with Moroccan decision-makers and explore new avenues of cooperation. bilateral and the identification of investment opportunities.
