The company points out that with the growing demand for non-traditional flavors, “Mežpils alus” continues to experiment, introducing the people of Latvia to an ever-widening variety of beer styles. IPA style beer is one of the dominant fashion trends in the world of beer.

Beer Ambassador Andris Rasiņš and technologists drew inspiration for the creation of the “Latvian favorite beer” recipe, watching the growing demand for sweet beer. In turn, “Apiņotais alus” has a completely opposite taste profile, if compared to the “Latvian favorite” lager. During the brewing process, a large amount of hops is added to this beer using the so-called dry hopping or the dry-wrapping method, which gives the beer a citrus aroma. The purpose of the method is to make the taste and bitterness of the hops expressive and the taste decisive.

All three new products have obtained the “Green Package” certificate of JSC “Latvijas Zaļais punkts”. This confirms that the product packaging is recognized as 100% recyclable or environmentally friendly in the certification process.
