On September 10, the 2022 season of the cycle “Travelers” will end with the big concert of the group “Skyforger” on the Grand Stage of Mežaparks. The main support in this Thunder Celestial Festival will be provided by the folklore and ancient fighting group “Vilkači”, the folklore group “Delve” and other “Skyforger” friends who are close to their path.
So far, such groups as “Tesa”, “Sonntags Legion”, “Pamirt” and “Tribes Of The City” have performed in the Kokaru Hall of the Mežaparks Grand Stage complex during the “Travel Companions” cycle, and during the “Autumn Road” concert of the “Skyforger” cycle. it is, of course, a real heavyweight event.
In addition, it will be Skyforger’s only performance in Latvia this summer.
“Due to the harsh realities of life, we haven’t had many performances in Riga lately, so we will try to have a good Thunder Festival at the Song Festival!” promises Skyforger management. It should be noted that the composition of the band has recently changed, and a new drummer Jānis Osis has joined Skyforger, who is also playing in the progressive metal band Nuvo, so this will be the first opportunity to see them in action for a wider audience.
