The half-year results that have now been reported by solar equipment supplier Meyer Burger are no longer of any significance. Because in June the company announced a strategic realignment that will open up completely new perspectives for the company. Instead of producing machines for the production of solar cells and selling them to cell manufacturers, Meyer Burger gets into cell and module production itself. The shareholders approved the strategic turnaround by approving a gross capital increase of CHF 165 million at an extraordinary general meeting in early July. This was then carried out successfully.
