HOUSTON, TX.- From Texas, the governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jimenez Salinasassured that in 2025 Coahuila will host the best rodeo festival in Mexico and one of the best in Latin America.
As part of his tour that he has been carrying out in Texas since Monday, Jiménez Salinas was in Houston, where he met with the board of trustees and directors of the Houston Rodeo, to learn about their operation and logistics and replicate their practices at the next Rodeo Festival in the state of Coahuila.

“In Coahuila we are organizing the best Rodeo festival in Mexico and one of the best in Latin America for 2025. For this reason, on this tour through Texas we met with the general director and the president of the Houston Rodeo Board of Trustees and their team, to learn the details of this, which is the largest and most important Rodeo in the world. By strengthening our Coahuila traditions, we will continue to promote tourism and culture in our State.”the governor stressed.
The state leader recalled that, in the tourism strategy “Surprise yourself with Coahuila” flagship events are triggered in each region, and in the case of the southeast, it will be the Rodeo Festival, so The organization of the event in Texas is becoming known in detail and will be replicated in Coahuila.
Jimenez was welcomed by the president of the Houston Rodeo Board of Trustees, Pat Mann Phillips, the first woman elected to this position; and directors John Cyphere, Chris Boleman, Randy William Pauly and Daniel Palomo.
The governor was accompanied by the Secretary of Economy, Luis Olivares Martínez and the Chief of Cabinet and Strategic Projects, Blas Flores González. Jimenez said that in Coahuila they are working on a strategy to bring equal development to all regions in the tourism sector through anchor events, with the Rodeo being the main activity in the Southeast Region, which has historically been characterized by its Tex-Mex culturewhile in the Carbonífera Region the Sabinas Cavalcade will be held; and in the Laguna Region the Coahuila 1000 Race will be held, among others.
On the other hand, at the facilities of the Mexican Consulate, Jiménez held a meeting with business leaders, headed by the President of the Business Coordinating Council, Francisco Cervantes Díaz and with the Consul of Mexico in Houston, María Elena Orantes López.

Finally, in the city of Fort Worth, a meeting was held with businessmen and representatives of Texas chambers of commerce at the Don Artemio Restaurant facilities.
