Mexico City. Mexico is one of the few economies in the world with an unemployment rate of 2.6 percent, but the challenge now is to maintain these low unemployment rates, said Francisco Cervantes, president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).
Within the framework of the 33rd Insurance Convention, the president of the highest representative body of the private sector in Mexico highlighted that historically the country has 2.6 percent unemployment, but maintained that the important thing is not to get there, but how these low rates are sustained. .
“Now concrete proposals are needed for Mexico to continue with these historic macroeconomic figures and to boast, so that relocation can be made the most of,” Cervantes highlighted; as long as the growth and good performance of the labor market can be maintained.
While waiting for the next debate between the three contenders for the presidency of Mexico on April 28, the president of the CCE trusts that with the economic issue there will be more proposals and less wear and tear.
He specified that the issues of water and energy are essential, since there is concern regarding these resources due to their costs or their supply, and they are a fundamental part of the investment.
“We are also concerned about insecurity, that there is more coordination between states and municipalities, that there is coordination among the three levels of government. These are issues in which we are full of opportunities, but we are going to take care of the concerns,” said Francisco Cervantes.
