Mexico will open vaccination registry against Covid-19 for girls and boys over 12 years of age: López-Gatell

The health authorities of Mexico will begin to apply as of this week the Covid-19 vaccine to children over 12 years of age, said Tuesday morning the undersecretary of Health, Hugo Lopez-Gatell.

The registration for vaccination against Covid-19 in girls and boys in a general way will open from next Thursday April 28, announced this Tuesday the undersecretary of health.

All infants 12 years of age and older will be eligible to be inoculated, so it will no longer be a requirement to have comorbidities.

The government announced two weeks ago that had requested doses through the WHO multilateral mechanismCOVAX, to initiate the immunization of all children in the country, after administering the biological previously to minors with chronic diseases and to adolescents between 15 and 17 years of age.
