Mexico will exhibit archaeological jewels in France – – 2024-02-14 23:31:52

The National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) confirmed that it will hold an exhibition on the archeology of Mexico at the Quai Branly Jacques Chirac museum, in France, with the objective that more people know the history of Mexican ancestors.

Leonardo López Luján, director of the INAH Templo Mayor Project, through his social networks said that it is a binational project, developed between anthropologists from Mexico and France.

The Quai Branly Jacques Chirac museum describes this exhibition as “the fruit of research carried out in the main temple of Mexican culture, presented for the first time in Europe. A unique exhibition in the history of Mesoamerican archeology.”

The museum highlights the work of commissioners Leonardo López Luján, and Fabienne De Pierrebourg, heritage curator, head of American collections, Musée du Quai Branly Jacques Chirac, as well as Steve Bourget, head of the museum’s American collections.

The exhibition is scheduled to open on Wednesday, April 3, and conclude on Sunday, September 8, 2024. It will remain open to the public in the Garden Gallery on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. in the afternoon, while on Thursdays from 10:30 in the morning to 10:00 at night.
