So that the competition becomes relevant. On the field, the Tricolor showed seriousness and was lethal in each of the attacks that it perpetrated at the Sergio León Chávez stadium, in the city of Irapuato.

With the Mexican fans cheering them on, Yael Padilla, Heriberto Jurado, Xavier Biscayzacú and Amaury Gutiérrez were in charge of guiding Mexico to victory. Mexico’s next opponent is Guatemala. The match will be played this Wednesday, while the group stage will close on Saturday against Panama.

The top two teams from each group (A, B and C) and the two (2) best third-placed teams advance to the quarter-finals. The nations that make it through this round will automatically qualify for the World Championship in their category.
