Since last Tuesday, blackouts have been reported in several areas of Mexico that have affected the populationwhile the President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has indicated that work is being done to restore the service optimally.
Yesterday, for the third consecutive day, blackouts were reported in cities in several states of the country.
These are the regions of Mexico that were affected by the blackouts on the third day:
Tamaulipas
The first reports came from MatamorosTamaulipas, where they were registered blackouts in more than 20 neighborhoodswhich generated annoyance among citizens.
In most of these sectors, blackouts have been intermittentso damage is reported to electrical appliances such as televisions, refrigerators and mini-splits.

Users of social networks expressed their anger, as they claim that at 4:20 p.m., they are the same neighborhoods where the electrical energy suffers failures.
They also comment that the outage in some sectors lasts for an hour and in others, several times during the night.
Guanajuato
In LeónGuanajuato, several power outages were reported, lasting between five and 10 seconds.
Zacatecas
Around 7:20 p.m. this Thursday, citizen reports of the blackouts began in various areas of the city of Zacatecasas well as some colonies in the municipalities of Guadalupe and Calera.
On social networks, citizens themselves began to ask where there was no electricity, so many people began to name the names of dozens of neighborhoods, mainly those municipalities that are located in the central region of the entity.

Within the same reports, people warned that due to the impact of electricity, many traffic lights were not working and asked to drive with caution to avoid accidents.
San Luis Potosi
For the third consecutive day, the National Energy Control Center (Cenace) declared a state of emergency in the national electrical system, due to the high temperatures that have been recorded, which has once again caused partial blackouts in different areas of the capital of Potosí.
According to what has been reported by residents, Blackouts are recorded in neighborhoods such as Los Silos, Hogares Ferrocarrileros, some areas of Lomas, Dalias, Bugambilias, Trojes del Sur, San Antonio, San Francisco, among others..

Blackouts are also reported in the municipality of Cerritos and others in the middle zone. So far, municipal authorities have not reported whether there are any failures in the traffic light system.
Coahuila
In Coahuila, blackouts were reported in certain sectors that caused damage to the water pumping systems, so at least 10 colonies were left without water in Torreón and in five colonies in Monclova.
Sinaloa
Blackouts were reported in the northern and central sectors of Culiacán, as well as in Chametla, in the municipality of Rosario, and in some sectors of Mazatlán.
Yucatan
Neighbors of the Cordemex Housing Unit, a subdivision located north of Méridathey closed 60th Street, at the height of the 21st Century roundabout, since they have been without electricity for 72 hours.
“We want light, we are in hell for 72 hours,” shouted the neighbors, who also detained a CFE van and threatened not to release it until their demands are resolved.

Those affected complain that not only have they had to endure the high temperatures in their homes, but they have had to get rid of food that spoils due to lack of refrigeration.
The neighborhood blockade caused tremendous traffic chaos on 60th Street, from the height of the Mérida Technological Institute. Agents from the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) had to intervene to speed up traffic.
Hidalgo
In Mineral de la Reforma, an area conurbated with Pachuca, blackouts were reported in the City of Knowledge and surrounding neighborhoods.
Sonora
In Sonora, at noon this Thursday a power “blackout” was recorded at the “Ignacio Pesqueira” International Airport.so the emergency systems came into operation so that their operation was not affected.
The waiting room and business areas remained without power supply for around 30 minutes.
