During the tournament, Mexico won each of the four games it played, two of them against Ecuador and another pair against Peru.
Against the Ecuadorians, the tricolor combined won bulky victories by 15-0 and 16-0, while against the hosts both victories were 7-0, culminating with a tremendous figure of 45 goals for and zero against in four games.
With these results, Mexico headed for the Pan American event to be held in Santiago de Chile in 2022; the other ticket was for Peruvians.
Within the contest, Jorge Gómez from Sonora was the second highest scorer of the tournament, with six goals, just one below the Mexican, Luis Villegas (7).
