Mexico gets a pass to the Copa América field hockey – El Sol de Hermosillo

The national field hockey team finished the Challenge Championship undefeated, which was played in Lima, Peru, for which they got their ticket to the Copa América of the specialty with a great performance by the Sonoran duo of Jorge Gómez and Daniel Castillo .

During the tournament, Mexico won each of the four games it played, two of them against Ecuador and another pair against Peru.

With these results, Mexico headed for the Pan American event to be held in Santiago de Chile in 2022; the other ticket was for Peruvians.

Within the contest, Jorge Gómez from Sonora was the second highest scorer of the tournament, with six goals, just one below the Mexican, Luis Villegas (7).



For his part, Daniel Castillo, also stood out for his defense, being one of the key pieces so that Mexico did not receive annotations in any game.
