(ANSA) – MEXICO CITY, OCTOBER 15 – Mexico will create an agency for digital transformation with the aim of reducing bureaucracy and attracting more foreign investments. This was announced by the Mexican president, Claudia Sheinbaum. “One of the reasons why an investor doesn’t consider investing in Mexico is that it takes two years to complete the procedures, so we want to reduce the time and the number of procedures,” the president said in a press conference as part of the CEO Dialogue, a meeting between Mexican and American businessmen. Sheinbaum’s government also wants to create a one-stop shop, so that investors can carry out all national, regional and municipal procedures there. The new agency, added the president, will “benefit both public and private investments” and facilitate the arrival of more capital “in a transparent way”. During the CEO Dialogue meeting, Sheinbaum stated that no businessman, whether American, Mexican, or any other country should fear the recent judicial reform, “on the contrary, what we will do is clean up the judicial system to strengthen the rule of law “.
