618,768 vaccines have been administered
The Director General of Epidemiology commented that, as of this Saturday afternoon, 618,768 doses of the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine have been applied in Mexico, of which 592,296 correspond to the first application and 22,472 to the second.
The National Vaccination Plan, focused in its first stage on public and private sector health personnel who fight the pandemic on the front line, was extended to education, specifically in Campeche, which, given its low transmission of the virus, outlines to resume face-to-face classes before ending February.
On the day of this Saturday, 13,830 were applied, including 2,766 doses of vaccines to the educational personnel of Campeche.
“Today was a good day because he could be vaccinating his staff against COVID, but he has also started with his educational staff,” he said.
Alomía explained that of the 766,350 doses of Pfizer that have reached Mexico, there are 91,350 vaccines reserved for the second application of those who have received a first dose.
