Mexico City Ministry of Health Administers 2 Million Influenza Vaccines for 2023-2024 Winter Season

MEXICO CITY (apro).- The Ministry of Health of Mexico City (Sedesa) applied 2 million 5 thousand 609 free influenza vaccines from October 16, 2023 to January 12, 2024, as part of the National Campaign Vaccination Plan for the 2023-2024 Winter Season, which will continue immunization until March 31.

In a statement, Sedesa recognized that the progress is 73.3% of the vaccination goal at the sector level, and recalled that the vaccine is available in the 234 Health centers of the capital, aimed at priority populations, such as adults over 60 years, girls and boys from 6 months to 5 years of age, pregnant women and people with comorbidities.

The agency added that the application of the Abdala and Sputnik-V vaccine against covid-19 also continues.
