Mexico Metropolis. The federal government of Mexico, via the Ministry of International Affairs, celebrated this Saturday the decision adopted yesterday by the Common Meeting of the United Nations (UN), by which Palestine is granted better participation in that physique .
The International Ministry burdened on social networks that Mexico voted in favor of the decision in recognition of Palestine’s proper to be a Member State of the UN.
The Common Meeting on Friday granted extra rights to Palestine for its participation within the affairs of the United Nations, with out this State having but been in a position to purchase the standing of full member.
The granting of those rights was adopted in a decision, relative to the standing of the observer State of Palestine within the United Nations, which was accepted by 143 votes in favor, 25 abstentions and 9 towards.
The Common Meeting additionally requests the Safety Council to rethink the applying for full membership.
The decision follows the veto issued by the US within the Safety Council on April 18, which blocked the admission of Palestine as a full member state of the UN.
