At a press conference, Hugo López – Gatell Ramírez, Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion indicated that according to estimates from the SSa, at this time the number of confirmed cases to SarsCoV2 would be 585 thousand 890 and 61 thousand 501 deaths; He added that since the first case of the new coronavirus was reported to date, 376,409 people have been recovered.
The official stressed that the estimated active cases are 41 thousand 778, that is, those that were infected 14 days ago and can still transmit the virus.
Refering to hospital occupationHe mentioned that throughout the country there are 31 thousand 513 general beds to treat respiratory disease, of which 19 thousand 570 are available and 11 thousand 943 are occupied, so there is an occupation of 38%.
While in critical beds, or those that have a mechanical ventilator, there is a total of 10,826, of which 7,308 are available and 3,518 are occupied, the availability is 68%.
Nayarit has the highest hospital occupancy in general beds with 67%, followed by Nuevo León with 65% and Colima with 57%, in critical beds Colima has an occupancy of 55%, followed by Nuevo León with 54% and Aguascalientes with 47%.
