Mexicans arrested to find drug lab in Herwijnen | Inland

Earlier, information had been received by the police that drugs were being produced on the site. A special police intervention team raided the grounds at Bloklandweg at 5 a.m. The drug lab discovered crystal meth was made, police said. The lab is being dismantled by police specialists.

Last month, several such drug labs were found in the eastern Netherlands. On May 10 this happened in Achter-Drempt, on May 25 in Willemsoord. A Colombian, American and Mexican were then arrested there. On May 26, three Mexican men were sentenced to six years in prison for involvement in large-scale production and possession of drugs in a commercial building in Wateringen. They were detained in the lab in February last year.
