According to information from UNDESA and IOM compiled by Statista, Peru registered 1.5 million emigrants in 2020, more than double the number registered in Chile.
On the other hand, Argentina is the Latin American country with the highest number of immigrants (2.3 million), while Colombia and Chile occupy the second and third place, with 1.9 million and 1.6 million immigrants, respectively.
For its part, Peru welcomed 1.2 million immigrants last year according to the information published by Statista.
