Mexicans are prohibited from donating plasma

Eagle Pass.- From this Monday, June 14, it is forbidden for Mexicans with a tourist visa to go to the donation centers of plasma and receive economic compensation for changes, otherwise, you can lose your visa.

The Director of the Office of customs and Border Protection, Paul Del Rincón, informed that by instructions from Washington, it is prohibited until further notice that people who have type B1 and B2 visas enter the United States to donate plasma with the intention of receiving financial compensation.

He pointed out that they are committing a violation in the regulatory conditions of their visa, for this reason they will no longer be able to enter the country as of this Monday, June 14, 2021 and until further notice.

He stressed the importance of complying with this mandatory order, otherwise there is a risk of cancellation of tourist visas due to non-compliance; It is important that visitors take care of their document and respect this new instruction, since as a visitor to the United States they cannot receive compensation for donating blood or plasma.

It should be noted that compensation can be from $ 30 to $ 60 for regular donors; while ex-COVID patients get to charge up to one hundred dollars for each visit and can do it twice a week, which is equivalent to approximately 4 thousand pesos in two appointments.
